Argentum was set to compete in the €52,000 Preis der BBAG-Jährlingsauktion (Cat.C) at Baden-Baden, where the colt performed superbly with Bauyrzhan Murzabayev in the saddle. Always prominently positioned in midfield, Peter Schiergen's protégé put in a great effort in the long Iffezheim straight and snatched the place of honor for Liberty Racing 2022 well ahead of the field behind the winner, who carried 5 kilograms less.
